Five improvements shipped this week: the email deliverability page now shows the provider's live domain verification and can publish the full DNS record set through Cloudflare in one step, video room templates let hosts open consistently-configured rooms from a named preset, your own SMPP bind defaults to recording submits on Messages without opening Inbox conversations, the STT Playground links a failing provider straight to the credential settings, and the Audience → Opt-outs console now has an end-to-end operator guide. Email deliverability: a real provider status and one-click Cloudflare DNS
The Email › Deliverability page used to go green the moment your SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX records existed in DNS — while the provider's own domain verification could still be pending, so a fully green page still rejected every send. Audience → Senders → Domains → <domain> now shows a provider verification card next to the DNS grid, refreshed roughly every minute: verified, pending, or failed. The page no longer reads green while the provider is still verifying, and if the provider cannot be reached the card says so instead of guessing. For domains on Cloudflare, paste an API token scoped to Zone › DNS › Edit on the zone and Orbit publishes every record the provider requires — left unproxied the way mail records must be — then asks the provider to re-verify and reports the live result. Video room templates: one named preset per meeting shape
A room's configuration — participant cap, duration, recording defaults, waiting room, backgrounds, captions, encryption, region — used to be re-entered on every new room. Voice → Video → Templates now saves that configuration as a named preset, so a host opens a consistently-configured room in one click. The role gate is video:write (owner, admin, or developer), and the lifecycle runs create through delete on the console. SMPP bind submits stop flooding your Inbox by default
Connect your own SMPP bind to Orbit and every submit records on the per-channel Messages list with its receipt and billing. Until now, a bind submit that was its own free-text message also opened a fresh SMS conversation in the team Inbox on every send — at bind volumes that flooded the agent queue with one-message conversations and a notification per send. Bind-to-Inbox bridging is now a tenant decision and defaults off: every bind submit records on Messages as machine traffic with no conversation and no new-conversation notification, while inbound replies to a bind-sent message still thread on the normal inbound path. Turn the bridge back on in Settings → Channels → SMPP Inbox, or via GET/PUT /messages/smpp-bind-inbox. STT Playground failures link straight to the key settings
A comparison run in Voice → STT Playground that failed for one provider — a missing or invalid Deepgram key, for example — used to show the error with no guidance, so you left the playground to hunt for the right page. The failing provider card now carries a "Manage the STT API key" link beside the error, taking you straight to Settings → Voice, where you register, activate, and rotate the speech-to-text credential the comparison uses. A complete operator guide for the Opt-outs console
The Audience → Opt-outs list is the surface compliance officers open to answer "who is blocked, on which channels, since when," and it had no walkthrough. The new guide covers the page end to end: where revokes come from (inbound keyword replies, the preference center, the Consent API, manual adds, CSV bulk import), the four compliance surfaces a revoke writes (consent ledger, suppression list, STOP fence, audit log), per-contact rows with per-channel badges and the nine-channel filter, and how re-opt-in consent evidence gets recorded. A worked carrier-audit example filters to SMS, exports one row per contact per channel, and attaches the timestamped CSV — the export's filter-respecting dedupe keeps the evidence clean. Three actions are worth the minutes they take this week.
- Re-check every email domain that showed green-but-rejecting. Open Audience → Senders → Domains, pick a domain, and read the provider verification card — if it reads pending, use the Cloudflare token flow to publish the records once rather than copy each by hand.
- Save your recurring meeting as a template. Open Voice → Video → Templates, save the form your weekly room takes, and open the next one from the preset instead of re-entering nine settings.
- Flip SMPP Inbox bridging only if you actually staff the queue. In Settings → Channels → SMPP Inbox, leave the bridge off if bind submits are machine traffic; flip it on only when a human should see every one as an Inbox conversation.
