Masked calling (also called bridged calling or proxy calling) is the technique of connecting two parties by voice — a customer and a courier, a passenger and a driver, a buyer and a seller — through a temporary proxy phone number, so the conversation reaches both sides without revealing either party's real phone number. The platform intermediates the call: each side dials the proxy number, the platform bridges the calls, and the proxy number is reassigned or expired once the underlying transaction or relationship ends.
