Terms of Service

Effective on launch · Last updated 2026-05-13 · Version terms_v_2026_05_13

This page hosts the working draft of the Orbit by Devotel Terms of Service. The version above is the consent string persisted with your signup, so the document you agreed to is auditable even if this page is later revised. Final counsel-reviewed text replaces this placeholder before launch.

1. Acceptance

By creating an Orbit workspace, accessing the Orbit dashboard, or using any Orbit APIs, SDKs, or hosted services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent.

2. The Service

Orbit is a Communications Platform as a Service that lets your organisation send and receive messages and calls across SMS, voice, WhatsApp, RCS, email, and other channels via Devotel's wholesale termination. You are responsible for the content of all messages and calls sent through your workspace and for ensuring recipients have given any consent required by law in their jurisdiction.

3. Billing & trial credit

New workspaces receive a one-time trial credit on email verification (no credit card required). Subsequent usage is pay-as-you-go against a prepaid balance. Rates per channel, per destination, and per AI model are listed on the public pricing page; per-tenant overrides take precedence when set by your account.

4. Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable laws including the US TCPA and CAN-SPAM Act, the EU GDPR and ePrivacy Directive, the UK PECR, and any local equivalents. Orbit enforces a hard guard on US TCPA quiet-hours for voice; other compliance gates are tenant-opt-in per market. Misuse of the Service for unlawful communication, including phishing, fraud, or abuse, is grounds for immediate suspension.

5. Data

Devotel acts as a processor for the content of messages, calls, contact records, and audit logs you upload or generate. Our Privacy Policy describes the categories of data we process, the legal bases, the retention windows, and the rights you and your end users hold.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the in-product changelog and an email to the workspace owner. Continued use after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

7. Contact

Questions or notices under these Terms can be sent to legal@devotel.io.
