What is DNC registry?
A Do-Not-Call (DNC) or Do-Not-Disturb (DND) registry is a per-country list — run by a regulator or telecom authority — of phone numbers whose owners have opted out of unsolicited telemarketing calls or messages. Each country sets its own scope, DND category rules, and scrubbing cadence; a business contacting numbers in several countries is responsible for checking each one's registry before a campaign goes out.

DNC obligations are scoped per country, not worldwide: the US National Do Not Call Registry covers telemarketing calls and texts, India's DND framework groups numbers into preference and block categories, and other countries run their own lists or framework equivalents. A number on one country's list says nothing about another country's rules.
