WooCommerce + Orbit
What the WooCommerce integration does
The WooCommerce integration connects a self-hosted WordPress store to Orbit with a pasted REST API key pair instead of an OAuth popup, syncing customers, orders, and products so you can trigger post-purchase and abandoned-cart flows on SMS and WhatsApp.
How to connect WooCommerce
Generate a WooCommerce REST API key
In WordPress, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API and generate a key pair with read/write access.
Paste the key pair into Orbit
In Orbit, go to Settings → Integrations, find WooCommerce, and paste your site URL plus the consumer key/secret — no OAuth redirect required.
Turn on post-purchase flows
Enable the post-purchase and abandoned-cart flows you want to run on new WooCommerce orders.
What teams use it for
Self-hosted store, same automation
A self-hosted WordPress store gets the same abandoned-cart and order-update flows as a hosted platform.
No OAuth app review to wait on
Connecting is a pasted API key pair, so there's no third-party OAuth approval step to wait on.
WooCommerce — frequently asked
- Why does WooCommerce use an API key instead of Connect?
- WooCommerce is self-hosted, so there's no central OAuth authority to redirect through — you generate a REST API key pair in WordPress and paste it into Orbit instead.
- What syncs once it's connected?
- Customers, orders, and products sync, and you can trigger post-purchase and abandoned-cart flows on SMS or WhatsApp.
