CRM integration

Salesforce + Orbit

What the Salesforce integration does

The Salesforce integration syncs contacts, accounts, leads, and opportunities into Orbit, and logs outbound message events back to Salesforce as activities — so reps see every SMS, WhatsApp, and email touch alongside their calls, without leaving the CRM.

How to connect Salesforce

  1. Open the integration marketplace

In Orbit, go to Settings → Integrations and find Salesforce.

  2. Connect your Salesforce org

Click Connect, sign in to Salesforce, and grant the requested OAuth scopes.

  3. Confirm the sync

Contacts, accounts, leads, and opportunities start flowing into Orbit; the card shows Connected once the first sync completes.

What teams use it for

  • CRM context in every conversation

Agents see the caller's Salesforce record — account, open opportunities, last activity — right inside the Orbit inbox.

  • Activity logging without manual entry

Outbound SMS, WhatsApp, and email touches post back to Salesforce as activities automatically.

Salesforce — frequently asked

Is the Salesforce sync one-way or two-way?
Bi-directional. Salesforce records flow into Orbit, and outbound message events log back to Salesforce as activities.
Do I need a Salesforce admin to connect it?
You need permission to authorize a connected app in your org — typically a Salesforce admin approves the OAuth grant the first time.
